Writing is essential in Lucie Picandet’s work. She writes many novels, in verse or prose, which are the starting point of her productions as her artist book “Dalle du Lad”. If her work combines different techniques: embroideries, watercolors, writing, paintings or small objetcs, they all reveal a complex, surreal and yet very poetic environment. Graduated from the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, Lucie Picandet also studied philosophy, theology and aesthetics. Winner of the Emerige Prize in 2015, she participed in important exhibitions such as Echantillons held in the Irish Museum of Contemporary Art in Dublin or Artist Residency at the Hermès Foundation in Paris.
In 2018 her work was exhibited at the Palais de Tokyo and at the gallery for her second solo show.
